Approach

The most important techniques in coaching are listening, asking follow-up questions, empathising and reflecting. This brings to light the beliefs and behavioural patterns that hold you back. Various methods serve the process. They are never leading, because your development and process follow a personal course.

The approach is results-oriented, reliable and intuitive. A coaching journey consists of 6-8 sessions on average; each session lasts about 1.5 hours. Journeys based on the EQ-i and leadership development usually take longer. There are separate rates for private individuals and for the business market.

The coaching journey for professionals

Working with energy and a calm mind again? Together we can look at the way forward.

An intake conversation always precedes a coaching journey. During this conversation we get to know each other and go through what coaching can offer you. We also set the desired goal you want to work on. Through the reflective conversations, exercises and methods applied, you learn to look at your own behaviour and beliefs.

After an agreed period there is an evaluation. How are things now? Do you still need anything to move forward?

The coaching journey for groups, departments & teams

Your employees working as a team? It is possible. Not window dressing, but serious collaboration?

What a client recently said: 'This in-depth approach of the Leary's Rose gives me and my colleagues a way to learn to communicate with each other without judgement. That is so valuable!

During the intake conversation with the manager or management team, we explore together what is going on and where you want to go. During this conversation we look at the key dynamics at play and how everyone contributes to a safe working environment. When we start, there is an intake with all team members. I speak with them 1:1 to discuss their views, experiences and wishes. We then discuss the field of forces and make an analysis and plan of approach. After an agreed period there is an evaluation and we look at what is still needed to safeguard the results achieved for the long term.

NOBCO Coaching Monitor

Since The Art of People began, we have worked with logbooks and interim evaluations. This is to work effectively and to measure effectiveness, for individual, team and leadership journeys alike. For individual journeys, a transition is now taking place to the Coaching Monitor of the professional association NOBCO. With it, reports and progress are measured and presented entirely online and transparently. For team journeys, progress measurement stays the same, with digitally fillable PDFs.
Quality guarantee
The innovative Coaching Monitor offers buyers of coaching more certainty by making the quality of a coach and the return on a coaching journey transparent. NOBCO coaches distinguish themselves clearly in the market with the Coaching Monitor, the EIA accreditation and the International Code of Ethics.

‘‘If you’re a leader and you want to mobilize your team, one of the first things you can do... is listen to them. Empathy is a critical skill to begin with for leaders because by listening to people and understanding where they’re coming from, you’ll have a better handle on how to motivate those people and what’s important to hem... That’s the first step in your ability to influence people, and influencing people is a critical skill for leaders’.Dr Steven Stein, CEO MHS
