We live in a time of rapid change that challenges our old beliefs. Working hard is outdated, but lying on the beach all day and working remotely is not for everyone either. What is a 'normal' emotional intelligence?
We constantly make trade-offs based on feelings and emotions. When we do this consciously, we recognise our drives and ambition sooner, learn to deal with setbacks in a meaningful way, and connect more easily with others. Emotional intelligence is all this and more.

End of employment contract towards a settlement agreement (VSO)
Making plans for the future is harder, despite the tight labour market for a number of professions. This, however, still does not apply to everyone and every role. Is retraining a good option? There are rounds of redundancies under way, certainly in tech. If an employer does not renew your contract, a settlement agreement (also called a 'termination agreement' or 'dismissal by mutual consent') is in some cases open to discussion. Besides a number of standard elements, you can also negotiate a second-track reintegration programme with a career coach. Emotions like grief
Coachees respond with relief when they are allowed to give in to the feeling of loss. That is grief too. Loyal employees who have given everything suddenly have to leave. Companies and organisations can take good care of their employees, even when saying goodbye, by drawing up a settlement agreement with enough room to process emotions such as grief.
