From a searching coach to a confident professional: supervision
Deeper and more relaxed learning
As a coach, do you put in many more hours than you are paid for? Once you started enthusiastically, because you wanted to support people. Now the doubt grows: ‘should I not have confronted more firmly?’ ‘Is my client's development going fast enough?’
What do you do when a manager or an HR officer wants information about the content of your coaching conversations? When doubt gains the upper hand, it is important to pause.
As a coach you are already used to reflecting. But sometimes a thought or feeling lingers anyway. Perhaps you already have peer consultation, but if you want to learn in an enjoyable and deeper way there is also supervision. You receive personal attention from an experienced professional and fellow practitioner.

Supervision goes further than (however important) peer consultation. What you experience is that:
✅ your self confidence grows as a coach and as a person
✅ you regain your enjoyment of the coaching profession
✅ you set healthier professional boundaries
✅ you can reflect more deeply
✅ you recognise and apply ethical dilemmas sooner
✅ you gain insight into the parallel process
✅ ‘help, the client has yet another coaching question’: you learn how and when to re contract
I do not believe in one method (one size does not fit all). I have a backpack full of life experience and I am an experienced coach: since 2006! On top of that I made my hours as a manager, as a chair and as the coordinator of a peer consultation group.
Besides my treasure chest of models and methods, I have a focus on emotional intelligence. This way we can go deeper, so that your self confidence grows and you regain your enjoyment of your profession.
Coaching mileage I am ESIA certified as a coach supervisor with EMCC. I work (inter)nationally, working languages Dutch and English, and I have experience working with different cultures.
Did you know that supervision hours count towards your accreditation? (Do also check with your own professional association.)
I find it important to get acquainted first. This way we can attune well to each other, and explore your supervision question. Together we then discuss what is suitable for you. After that I make you an offer.
You can choose from three forms:
1: Sampling supervision:
✔️ Learning what supervision brings you
✔️ Input of case material, professional situation and reflection
✔️ Ad hoc
✔️ On or offline
✔️ 1 or 1.5 hours
2: Committed: structurally working on professional self confidence
✔️ All the personal attention for you: 1:1
✔️ Professional calm through more impact and flow
✔️ Long and short term supervision goals and questions
✔️ Reflection: case material, reflexivity
✔️ Strip card every two months or monthly
3: Learning by sharing: group supervision
✔️ Learning under the guidance of an experienced (team) coach
✔️ Question and input of case material
✔️ Once a quarter
✔️ 2 hours per session
✔️ Online
✔️ Small groups
Want to know what else it brings you? In my supervision you learn:
✅ to better recognise and label your emotions and those of your coachee;
✅ what reflexivity is: you switch between your own inner voice, parts and emotions and those of your coachee without losing the overview;
✅ how to come out of (counter)transference and projection;
✅ to dare to use your creativity and humour (yes, that is allowed);
✅ to have energy left over after the coaching conversation.
Where needed, scientifically grounded (and creative) models and body awareness exercises are used, including the ‘Seven eyed model’ by Hawkins.
